What it does
You can install Stand on as many sites as you want from one account, and you can run as many agents as you need. Each agent has its own briefing, look, and optional site scope. Each site has its own embed snippet, its own per-site prompt that gets injected into every conversation, and its own usage stats.
When a visitor lands on a site, Stand picks the best matching rep or agent — and tells you, on the Sites page, exactly who would be picked right now and with what probability. If no one matches, you get a one-click link to create an agent for that site.
When it helps
One business, multiple sites. Marketing site, docs site, app — each gets its own embed and its own context.
One business, multiple audiences. A pricing-page agent who knows your tiers cold; a docs-page agent who knows your API.
Same domain, different products. You run acme.com/widgets and acme.com/services from the same domain — register both as separate sites with distinct names.
An agency or consultancy. Each rep has their own portfolio of clients. Each rep registers their clients' sites and trains an agent per client.
You want to see what's actually happening. The Sites page shows live "currently matching" data — who would pick up if a visitor arrived right now.
How to use it
- 01
Add a site
Open Sites in the sidebar. Type the domain (e.g.
acme.com) and click Add site. If you've already registered that domain (running two sites on the same domain), you'll be asked for a site name — pick something distinguishing like “Main docs” or “Pricing page”. - 02
Copy the embed snippet
Each site gets a unique script tag. Click Copy and paste it into your site's HTML, just before
</body>. The Sites page shows an installation indicator that turns green when it sees the script live. - 03
Set the site prompt (optional, owner-only)
On each site card, expand the Site prompt editor. Anything you write here gets injected into every standin conversation on that site, in addition to each agent's training prompt. Up to 4,000 characters. Useful for site-specific facts like “the pricing on this site is in EUR” or “this is a beta product, version 2.0.”
- 04
Decide who's available where
On each site card, expand the Active reps section. Toggle which reps on your team should answer chats from that site. By default, every rep is active on every site.
- 05
Scope an agent to a site (optional)
When you create or edit an agent, set Specializes in to a specific site. That agent will only be considered for chats arriving on that site.
- 06
Watch live matching
On each site card, the Currently matching panel lists every rep and agent that would be picked right now if a chat came in, with each one's probability. Refreshes every five seconds. If no one matches, you'll see a Create agent for this site → link that opens the editor pre-bound to that site.
- 07
Read per-site stats
Each site has its own usage widget showing impressions (widget views), opens (chat-window opens), and sessions (started chats). Compare site to site to see where chat actually moves the needle.
Try it on your site. Free, forever.
