  1. Visitor: I run a 14-person architecture studio and our projects keep running late. Can Hannah help?
  2. Juno, AI Stand-in: Yes, that’s Hannah’s core work. It usually starts with a two-week review of one live project.
  3. Visitor: Should we hire an operations manager first, or fix our process?
  4. Juno, AI Stand-in: That’s a call Hannah makes with you once the studio’s clearer, so I won’t guess. Would you like a personal reply?
  5. Visitor: Yes please. Priya Shah, priya@example.com
  6. Juno, AI Stand-in: Thanks, Priya. Hannah gets your question with this whole conversation.
  7. Email to the team: Contact request from Stand: Priya Shah. priya@example.com Reason: Hire an operations manager, or fix the process first? Sent when the chat ends, with the transcript

How it plays out

How it works while you work

  1. 10:42 am · In a client workshop

A warm welcome, in your words

You set its name, face, greeting and tone. It answers from your pages and your prompt, and always shows it’s AI.

  2. 12:02 pm · Between sessions

    Step in from your phone

Every plan can alert you to new AI chats. Offer to join asks the visitor first; Takeover now steps straight in.

  3. 6:05 pm · In your inbox

Reply personally, with the whole conversation

A form gives you an email. Stand gives you the question behind it. The request arrives when the chat ends, and you reply from your own inbox, as yourself.

Where your advice starts

It answers about your practice. The advice stays yours.

Tell it which questions are yours, and it offers a personal reply instead of guessing. It’s still AI: try the awkward questions in Try it out, and read its first chats.

  • A consultant

    “Is this for me?”

A visitor asks “Do you work with 20-person firms?” and Remy, the Stand-in, answers “Yes, most of Luis’s clients are that size. What needs fixing?”

    Answered from your pages.

  • A coach

    “What does it cost?”

A visitor asks “How much is coaching?” and Wren, the Stand-in, answers “The 12-week program is $2,400. Here are the details:”

    Only what you’ve published.

  • A broker

    “What should I do?”

A visitor asks “Should I lock in my rate now?” and Milo, the Stand-in, answers “That’s a call Ana makes with you, once your situation is clear. Can Ana call you?”

    A warm hand-off, not a guess.

Stand-in prompt

Stand-ins → Edit → Identity

You are [Name], [Your name]’s assistant. [Your name] is a [leadership coach for first-time managers]. Be warm and brief. Answer only from this prompt and the attached pages; if it isn’t there, say so. Never advise on the visitor’s own situation: that’s [Your name]’s job, so offer a follow-up. On fees, say only [your rates, or “quoted after a first call”]. To book, share [booking link].

When to offer a follow-up

Skills → Follow-up

When the visitor wants advice, a quote, or to start working together. Ask for their name and email, or a phone number if they’d rather talk.

Questions

Good to know.

See all FAQs

Does it book appointments?

No. It can share your booking link, or take their details so you can reply.

What if I forget to switch off Available before a session?

If a visitor waits 60 seconds without your reply, Stand pauses your availability and your Stand-in can carry on.

Unanswered-chat fallback

Is the free plan enough for a solo practice?

Often, yes: 15 full conversations a week, and your Stand-in reads up to 10 pages of your site. Pro adds documents like PDFs, 150 conversations a month and no Stand branding, for $10 a month.
