Why now

When software gets dramatically cheaper to build, more people can turn ideas into products. That is good. It also means more teams will be trying to explain new products, earn trust, and find the customers who truly care.

Product-market fit is not only a metrics problem. Underneath the dashboards and funnels, it is often a conversation problem: do people understand the product, does it connect to a real problem, and what language do they use when they describe it?

Stand is built to make access to meaningful product conversations easier and cheaper, so more small SaaS teams can navigate that learning loop continuously.

Origin

The idea comes from how product teams learn in public.

At Vaadin, conferences and expos were a practical way to get close to developers. People would ask direct questions, misunderstand the product, compare alternatives, and describe their own problems in their own words.

Those conversations created a sharper understanding of the product and the story around it. Over time, that kind of direct connection helped Vaadin build a developer community of 100,000+ people.

Stand takes that lesson to the website. The goal is to make the useful part of an expo stand easier to access every day: more real questions, more customer language, and more chances for the right human to join when the conversation matters.
