Member invitations

Send an invitation

• Open Team as the organization owner.
• Enter the invitee’s email address.
• Choose any provider requirement offered for the organization, such as Require Google.
• Send the invitation; it appears in Pending invitations until accepted or revoked.
• The invitee follows the email link and completes the allowed sign-in flow before becoming an active member.

Provider requirements

A provider requirement constrains how this invitation may be accepted. Stand can suggest a default based on the email domain and organization configuration, but the owner sees the selected requirement before sending.

If the email already belongs to a Stand account using another method, Stand does not silently connect a new Google or other provider identity. The person must use a supported explicit account flow instead.

Pending invitation controls

• Pending entries show the invited address and any required provider.
• The owner can revoke an invitation before it is accepted.
• Revocation invalidates the outstanding acceptance path but does not affect an already active member.
• Accepted invitations leave the pending list and create organization membership.

Access after acceptance

A newly accepted invitee joins as an ordinary member. They can use Stand’s member capabilities, but cannot manage invitations, billing, retention, or other owner-only settings unless ownership is later transferred to them.

Boundaries

• Invitations are organization-specific and do not grant access before acceptance.
• Email delivery failures or expired and revoked links require a new valid invitation.
• The invite address must correspond to the account the person uses to accept.
• Only an owner can view and revoke pending invitations.
