What Stand checks first
Opening the deletion flow loads a preflight result that identifies whether the person is a regular member, an owner with other members, or the sole member of the organization. The dialog and consequences change for that state.
Deletion cases
| Account state | Allowed action |
|---|---|
| Regular member | Delete the member profile and revoke its organization access. Shared historical conversation records remain with the organization. |
| Owner with other members | Self-deletion is blocked. Transfer ownership or remove the remaining members first. |
| Sole-member owner | Confirm permanent deletion of the organization and the owner account together. |
Organization deletion removes
- Sites and their widget configuration.
- AI Stand-ins, team and site instructions, knowledge resources, and pending invitations.
- Conversations, visitor contact data, labels, and organization settings.
- Membership and account access tied to the deleted organization.
- The active billing relationship through the deletion and cancellation workflow.
Complete deletion
- Open Profile and review the Danger zone copy.
- Start the deletion action and read the preflight-specific consequences.
- For an owner blocked by remaining members, return to Team and resolve ownership or membership.
- Enter or complete the explicit confirmation required by the dialog.
- After success, the account is signed out and cannot reopen the deleted data.
Irreversibility and residual records
- Ordinary backup-retention cycles and legally required limited records can outlast product deletion for their stated purpose.
- Deleting a member is not a way to erase the organization’s past conversation transcript attribution.
- A scheduled plan downgrade is not account deletion; deletion cancels access and follows the billing cleanup path.
- Recovery codes and passkeys cannot recover a deleted account.
