01AI Stand-insAn AI Stand-in is a named AI responder that can answer website visitors when no eligible human rep takes the new chat. Each Stand-in has its own visitor-facing identity, instructions, Site and path scope, knowledge, skills, and appearance. All plans02Stand-in instructions and prompt buildersStand-in instructions define the individual Stand-in’s role, facts, tone, boundaries, and conversation behavior. They are applied after shared Team and Site instructions, while guided builders can draft instruction text from structured answers. All plans03Stand-in specializationStand-in specialization limits a Stand-in to one installed Site and, optionally, one path scope within that Site. Routing prefers the most specific eligible match so a purpose-built Stand-in can answer a pricing or documentation area before a general Stand-in.All plans04Try it outTry it out opens a private dashboard conversation with the selected AI Stand-in so its saved instructions, identity, skills, and attached knowledge can be checked before enabling it for public coverage. The test ends when the tab is left or the conversation is explicitly ended. All plans05Stand-in management and version historyThe AI Stand-ins list is the control surface for creating, opening, cloning, enabling, disabling, and deleting Stand-ins. When a Stand-in already has conversation history, replacement-on-edit preserves the old configuration as part of those historical records. All plans
