Plans and usage
Trials, subscriptions, and plan changes
The plan view manages eligible trials, paid subscription changes, invoices, and end-of-period downgrades while showing when each entitlement takes effect.
- Availability
- Owners can manage the choices offered for their organization; available trials and plans depend on eligibility and commercial configuration

What the plan view shows
- Current plan name, included quota, usage, and plan period.
- Subscription status, renewal or current-period end, and scheduled changes.
- Chat balance and eligible overage-purchase settings.
- Available upgrade, downgrade, trial, invoice, and payment actions.
- Read-only plan information for non-owner members.
Trials
- Eligible organizations can start a displayed Pro or Business trial without changing the permanent plan first.
- Campaign eligibility and duration are evaluated for the organization; an already-used or conflicting access grant can make a trial unavailable.
- A valid trial code can start the campaign tied to that code.
- Temporary access can differ from a full subscription—for example, it may keep Powered by Stand visible when the plan view says so.
Upgrades and subscriptions
An eligible paid upgrade enters the configured checkout or subscription flow. After billing confirms the change, Stand refreshes the organization entitlement and the plan view. Subscription and invoice links remain available for owner review where supported.
Scheduled downgrades
- The owner chooses an available lower plan and reviews a destructive-impact summary.
- Stand schedules the target plan for the end of the current billing period rather than removing paid access immediately.
- The owner can cancel the scheduled downgrade before it takes effect.
- At transition, lower quotas and feature entitlements apply, including branding, overage, prompt, retention, custom-signal, and knowledge-base constraints.
- Features with a grace or read-only state explain that state in their own reference page.
Boundaries
- Plan availability, prices, taxes, and invoices shown by the active billing flow are authoritative for the account.
- Non-owners cannot subscribe, purchase overages, or schedule changes.
- Downgrading does not retroactively refund already consumed chats or erase completed History by itself.
- Deleting an organization is a separate permanent flow that also initiates billing cancellation.
